With a career spanning more than 22 years with the TATAs and other renowned IT companies, I am known as an architect of ICT reforms for leading Indian utility- Tata Power Delhi Distribution Company.

I am currently heading the IT Infrastructure, Communication and Application Development groups of Tata Power-DDL and also holding the profile of Chief Information Security Officer, therefore responsible for entire gambit of ICT including Cyber Security. In addition to this, my profile requires me to work with Management and Board members to develop overall IT Security strategy aligned with the business goals.

Words of Joy: First of all, I would like to thank the Jury members for selecting me as the “CISO of the Year” and honouring me with this award at CISO MAG Awards India 2019. Well, this is a very proud moment for me as reaching this platform has years of hardwork, patience, resilience and persistent efforts behind it.

As Vice President – Information Technology and Systems at Biocon Ltd, Radhakrishnan G is responsible for enabling cost-effective organisational evolution by designing scalable blueprints and leveraging dynamic trends in technology to meet strategic business needs. He is highly skilled at controlling budgets and delivering concurrent large-scale, mission-critical projects within time and cost parameters. An industry veteran adept in building capable teams and providing collaborative leadership who has extensive experience in liaising with business partners, conducting negotiations and dealing with vendors and consultants.

Advocate Puneet Bhasin is a Pioneer in Technology Laws in India and a Cyber Law Expert practicing in Mumbai in matters involving Cyber Crimes, E-Commerce and Intellectual Property disputes in cyber space along with advising Online Gaming companies/ Content based Mobile Apps and Set Top boxes, Payment on Demand Video providers about the legalities of the same. She is the Founder of Cyberjure Legal Consulting, a Mumbai based firm specializing in Technology, Media and Entertainment Laws. Among the first in India to lay the foundation of Cyber laws and Online Entertainment laws.

Cyberdome is a Centre of Excellence for Kerala Police, to meet the long term security challenges in the digital arena of the modern world, by bridging the gap between the latest changes and innovations in the cyber space and the skill set development of Kerala Police, in combating the emerging cyber threats. It is envisaged as a collaboration Centre for both the public and private fraternity to converge and share information, as well as resources, that will escalate the safety of our cyber space.

T App Folio – A comprehensive M-Governance solution from the Government of Telangana for Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow Delivery of Government to Citizen (G2C), Business to Citizen (B2C) and Value-Added Services (VAS) services through One Access Point, One URL, One App and One Short Code.

To further the goals of the ‘less-cash’ economy in Haryana, a ‘Cashless Consolidation Portal’ was developed indigenously by the state’s Department of Electronics and Information Technology. The main aim of this portal is to track and manage the count of digital transactions in the state. The portal was developed in-house by the E & IT Department Haryana’s IT Society.

The activities of the Department includes identifying new technology for promotion of Electronics & IT Industry, to arrange for processing new technology, dissemination of new technology in the State and to promote research on electronic items through research institutions, laboratories, Universities etc. and to provide financial assistance for updating the facilities of these institutions.

Words of Joy: CERT-In is thankful to the Jury members and the CISO MAG Board for selecting and awarding it with the winner of the Best Digital initiative by Government body. It is a source of encouragement for CERT-In that the pivotal role that it plays and the services being provided by it for the entire Indian constituency towards building trust in digital technologies and securing the Indian cyberspace are being recognized and appreciated.

We have implemented best practices in storing citizen-related information, with robust audit trails in e-public services delivery. This is implemented in a PPP mode, and one of the major revenue earning initiatives of the Government. The retrieving-on-demand processes of this information is efficient and optimal. We offer about 450 G2C services to the citizen, including Aadhar, land records, and birth and death registration services. Our vision for the medium term is to scale up our bouquet of services to 750.

Words of Joy: The CISO MAG award to ESD Directorate was a pleasant surprise, and enthused the employees of ESD. The jury adviser (Deloitte India) is highly regarded in the industry which added to our glory. That we have been chosen for a special recognition in cyber security in this award edition is a nontrivial signal to the IT community about the resilience and best practices followed in our organization.
